Really interesting talk by a linguist, and why our kids are growing dumber

This is really worth listening to, especially with the discussions it may spark. I am not often interested by the folks in the Humanities/Anthropology/Linguistics, etc, community, but this was really worth a second look.

This is just a cool and interesting piece of visualization work, and a new and interesting way to look at such a complex piece of writing…believe it or not, I got the link from having the first image on the page be an award winner in this week's Science journal which had the best images competition for 2008:
